AEEE 2016: Application Form, Eligibility, Pattern

AEEE 2016 (Amrita Engineering Entrance exam) is going to be conducted in the month of April, 2016 for the admission in engineering programs in different disciplines. Last year, this all India level entrance exam will be conducted in across 75 cities of the country. Students appeared this test so that they can take admission in the 3 engineering schools of the University situated at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore.

AEEE 2016 Application Form

The online and OMR AEEE 2016 application form commences from the 1st November, 2015. The candidates can get the form from the campus schools of the Amrita University against the DD of Rs. 1000 issued in the favour of Amrita School of Engineering” payable at Coimbatore. Fill both online/OMR application forms before the deadline of the form submission. Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who meet the following requirements of the eligibility criteria will be able to apply for the AEEE 2016 entrance exam.

• It should be required for the candidates to born on or after the 1^st July, 1994.
• The applying candidates must have completed 12^th from the recognized board/institution with an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• The diploma holder candidate having 60% marks aggregate from a state board is also eligible for this entrance exam.

Exam Pattern

The exam of AEEE will be conducted in both the modes: CBT (computer based test) and pencil/paper based test. The paper pattern of the AEEE exam conducted in the month of April, 2016 is a follows:
There are total 120 questions in the entrance test conducted by Amrita University.
The question type is multiple choice questions, 4 options are provided out of which only one is correct/appropriate.
The time duration of AEEE 2016 entrance test will be 3 hours.
Provision of negative marking, +3 marks for every right answer and -1 mark for incorrect response.
The question paper contains 35 questions from Physics, 35 from Chemistry and 50 from Mathematics.

Important Dates

• Commencing date of Online/OMR Application Form: 1st November, 2015
• Last date of Online/OMR form submission: in the month of March, 2016.
• Admit card availability: during the first week of April, 2016
• Date of AEEE 2016 computer based test and paper/pencil based test: in the month of April, 2016
• Announcement of Result: in the month of May, 2016.
• Counselling commences from: May or June, 2016

Admit Card

The AEEE admit card 2016 entrance exam will be available in the month of April, 2016. Interested candidates can download the same from the official site of the University. The admit card bears candidate roll number, date of the AEEE examination, full name of the applicant, venue of the examination and timings. Retain the admit card safe till the completion of the admission procedure.

Result

The applicants can check their AEEE result 2016 in the month of May, 2016 by entering the registration ID, Date of birth and the security code displayed on the screen. Download your result through the official portal of the Amrita University. Students get the admission on the basis of this AEEE score only.

Counselling

When the rank list of AEEE 2016 is prepared, then the eligible candidates will be called for the counseling conducted in the month of May/June, 2016.  Candidates can view the counselling scheduled published on the University website. Students can appear in any one of the Amrita University 3 schools at the day of Counselling for admission and choose their appropriate branch.
