JCECE 2016: Eligibility, Application, Exam Dates

The Jharkhand Common Entrance Competitive Exam for Medical, Engineering, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry is commonly known as the JCECE Entrance Exam. JCECE 2015 has been over now and new aspirants are looking for the JCECE 2016. It is conducted by the JCECE Board of the state of Jharkhand as it is the state level exam so the candidates of Jharkhand state have hope to clear that exam for their better future. It is a gateway to the said courses offered by many government, self-financed, aided and private institutions of Jharkhand.

Important Dates of JCECE 2016 (Tentative)

  • Releasing of notification – Third week of March 2016
  • Date for downloading the Application Form through official site – first week of April 2016
  • Last date of receiving the filled Application Form – last week of April 2016
  • Date for downloading the Admit Card – Second week of May 2016
  • Exam Date – third week of May 2016
  • Releasing date of Result – first week of June 2016
  • Counselling schedule – third week of June 2016

Eligibility for JCECE 2016

  1. The candidates must be the permanent or local resident of Jharkhand state and having residential certificate issued by the proper authority of state government.
  2. The candidate must have a valid category certificate (if required).
  3. No age bar for B.Tech and BHMS courses.
  4. candidate must be completed the age of 17 year as on or before 31st December of the year of examination for MBBS, BDS, BSc and B.VSc courses.
  5. The upper age limit for agriculture and forestry courses is 22 year however 3 years of relaxation is exempted for the SC/ST categories in maximum age.
  6. For B.Tech, the candidate must be passed 12th with physics and maths as mandatory subjects with one of optional as chemistry/biology/biotechnology/technical vocational with 45% in aggregate (40% in case of reserved category).
  7. For MBBS, BDS and BHMS the candidate must be passed 12th with 50% (40% in case of reserved category) in subjects as physics, chemistry, biology/biology and English individually.
  8. For agriculture and forestry courses, the candidate must be passed 12th exam with physics and chemistry as mandatory and biology or math as optional.
  9. For veterinary and animal husbandry courses, the candidate must be passed 12th exam with physics, chemistry and biology as compulsory subjects.
  10. The candidates appearing to the qualifying exam may also apply for the JCECE 2016 but they would have to pass the qualifying exam before counselling.

Application for JCECE 2016

The JCECEB will invite the JCECE 2016 application form for prescribed courses in first week of April 2016 via only online mode. No offline mode will be entertained for application procedure. The candidates will have to download the application form through the official site of the board and fill the particulars that will be required. After filling the application form, uploading the scanned images of photo and signature and remitting the application fee through debit/credit card, online net banking or e-Challan, aspirants would have to submit the application form and print the copy for further reference.

Exam pattern

The exam will be held in the third week of May 2016 and paper will be comprised in 200 multiple choice type questions as 50 questions from each subject like physics, chemistry, maths and biology. Each Question will carry one mark and there is no provision for negative marking. The duration of examination will be of 3 hour. The paper will be asked from the syllabus of 11th and 12th of CBSE and Jharkhand board.

Admit Card

The JCECE Admit Card 2016 will be released in second week of May 2016 and that will contain the name of the candidate, examination centre, examination time, roll number and photo of the candidates. All candidates will be suggested to bring the admit card to the examination hall on the date of exam.

Result

The result for JCECE 2016 will be declared in the first week of June 2016 on the official website of the board and same will be declared and notified to the candidates on our site as sarvgyan.com. The candidates may check their result by click on the providing link.

Counselling

JCECE 2016 counselling schedule will be announced don the official site of the board after the declaration of the result in third week of June 2016.
