PMET 2016: Application, Eligibility, Pattern

PMET (Punjab Medical Entrance Test) 2016 will be conducted by the same as Baba Farid University of Health Science, Faridkot. The examination will be conducted for the admission to MBBS and BDS courses in most of the medical and dental colleges of Punjab. The PMET examination will be held for all categories including NRI seats.

Important Dates

• Last date of submission the online application form – last week of April 2016
• Last date of receiving the application fee via Challan – first week of May 2016
• Download of admit card on – second week of May 2016
• Date of PMET examination – third week of May 2016
• Date of result – last week of May 2016
• Counselling date – first week of June 2016

Application Form

The candidates may apply for the PMET 2016 application form via online only. Candidates may get the prospectus via online from the official site of the university or from the university campus after paying the Rs. 200/- only. The way to filling the application form will be mentioned in the prospectus and candidates have to strictly follow the rule to fill the form as per the criteria. After filling the all particulars in form the candidates will have to remit the application fee as Rs. 5000/- for general or Rs. 2500/- for SC candidates. late application form will be entertained with late fee as rs. 3000/- as additional. The application fee will be remitted through the Challan form of Oriental Bank of Commerce. The Challan form would be downloaded from the official site. The candidates should keep at least three xerox copy of submitted application form for further reference. To make any correction after locking the application form, candidates may request to the university by written application for any change or editing in application form before examination. For that, such candidates have to pay Rs. 5oo/- in form of DD in favor of the Registrar, BFUHS, Faridkot.

Eligibility

Candidates should have to complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st of December of the year of admission.
The candidates must have passed the 12th examination with physics, chemistry and biology/biotechnology and English individual is an optional with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for locomotion disable and 40% for SC/BC).
The candidates should be bonafide of Punjab state.
The candidates should have passed the 12th examination from the school located in Punjab or Chandigarh.
Wards of defense/military/para military personal posted in Punjab are also eligible.
Defense/military/para military personal posted in Punjab and then posted to other state while their children took the 12th study from Punjab are also eligible.
Children of state government person or employee of boards/corporations/statutory bodies, established by an act of the state of Punjab, posted outside the Punjab before 1st January of the year of admission and took the 12th from outside, are also eligible.

Pattern

There will be only one paper comprising in 200 multiple choice questions based on physics, chemistry, botany and zoology as 50 questions from each. One mark will be awarded to each correct answer. There is no negative marking for wrong answer. However one mark will be deducted from unanswered question. That will be of 3 hours duration. Te language of the examination will be in English only. The candidates will have to write only with black ball pen.

Admit Card

PMET Admit Card 2016 will be available online on the official site with a format which would be filled by the candidate and duly signed by the principal of his/her qualified college or by the Executive Magistrate. Admit card will be allotted to the eligible candidates only and should be kept safe for further use during the admission process. No other mode will be entertained to communicate regarding admit card except online.

Result

Result of PMET 2016 will be available on the official site or at the university. Candidates can get their result and rank through the university office or the official site of university. The rank will be decided on the basis of result that would be scored by the candidates in PMET 2016.
