Punjab JET 2016: Application Form, Exam Date, Pattern

Punjab JET 2016 or Punjab joint entrance test is the state level entrance test conducted by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh. The test is conducted for admission in to various polytechnic courses offered by more than 130 polytechnic institutes (including government and private) located in the state of Punjab. Every year thousand of students appear for the JET exam to take admission in their proffered college. Application Form

The candidates who are looking for the Punjab JET application for the session 2016 are informed that the application form will be available to the candidates from the 1st week of March, 2016. The interested candidate can fill their forms online from the official website of  Punjab Jet.The last date for filling the application form will be in the last week of March, 2016.  After completing all the details in the application hall candidates has to pay their fees either through online mode or offline mode.

Eligibility criteria

The candidates appearing for Punjab JET 2016, must check the eligibility criteria of the exam, the detailed information regarding eligibility criteria is mentioned below:
The  candidates should possess the Indian citizenship.
The candidates should have passed or appearing in the 10^th examination with mathematics, science and English from the recognized educational board in India.
The should should have minimum 35% to appear for the examination.

The candidate appearing for the 10th exam are also eligible to apply on a provisional basis.

• The date of JET 2015 examination is: 2nd week of April 2016

Exam Pattern

The candidates must check the exam pattern before appearing the exam, the exam pattern contains the details like no. of questions, marking scheme, and all the details regarding the exam. Candidates can check the exam pattern below:
The paper consist of objective type question, consisting of 200 MCQ’s with one mark each. Thus, the paper is of 200 marks.
The questions will be asked from the syllabus of class 10th and there will be no negative marking in the question paper.The time duration of the exam will be 3 hours.

Admit Card

Punjab JET Admit Card 2016 will be available to the students in the month of April, 2016. The candidates can get their admit card from the official website of Punjab Jet website. The admit card is mandatory to bring in the examination hall in order to appear in the examination.

Result

Counselling

The candidates who will qualify in the Punjab Jet result will be called for counselling, the counselling scheduled will be declared in the month of June 2016. The candidates who has qualified the examination will be called for counselling, and seats will be allotted to the students as per their rank and preference.
