UPTU Entrance Exam 2016: Eligibility, Exam Details

UPTU entrance exam 2016 will be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow as it is the conducting authority of UPTU examination. The UPTU exam is also known as the UPSEE (Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination). The examination is the state level exam and a gateway of various UG and PG courses offered by the most of the institutions of Uttar Pradesh. All IITs and NITs located in the limit of Uttar Pradesh refer to the score of JEE Main as the national level examination.

Offered Courses

The UPSEE 2016 will be the entrance for Many UG and PG programmes like B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology), B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture), B.FAD (Bachelor in Fashion & Design), B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy), BHMCT (bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology), MBA (Master of Business Administration), MAM (dual degree), and MCA (Master in Computer Application).

Eligibility for UPSEE 2016

Aspirants, those wish to appear the UPSEE exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The eligibility criteria for UPSEE 2015 is mentioned below:

• The candidates should be the resident of Uttar Pradesh.
• The candidate must be passed class 12^th from a government recognized board for All UG courses.
• The candidate appearing for the exam  should be scored an aggregate of 45% (In case of general candidate) and 40% (In case of reserved category candidate) in the qualifying examination. Only B.Arch will require the qualifying marks as 50% (45% for reserved).
• For all PG courses the candidates should be passed the graduation with 50% (45% for reserved).
• For lateral entry in B.Tech or B.Pharma the candidates must have three year diploma in relative field with 45% (40% in case of reserved candidates).
• There is no age limit for UPSEE 2016.

Application Form of UPTU 2016

UPTU 2016 application form will be released in the last week of February 2016 via both mode; online and offline. Interested candidates may fill their application form via online from the official website of the university or they can get the application form with information booklet from the help desk centre of the UPTU.
Through the online mode the candidates have to fill the online application and submit the confirmation page before the prescribed last date. Through the offline mode the candidates should bring the application form from the help desk centers of the UPTU and fill the application form.
The candidates must be remit the application fee as Rs. 800/- (for general and OBCs) or Rs. 400/- (for SC/ST/PWD/Girls) through the debit/credit card or the net banking.

Exam Pattern

The exam will be asked in Hindi and English language only. There is no provision for negative marking. Each right answer will carry 4 marks. UPSEE 2016 will contain the 12 question papers in all multiple questions as per the following table:

UPSEE Admit Card

The UPSEE admit card 2016 will be released in the second week of April 2016 on the official site of the board. The candidates can get their admit card through the official website only. The admit card will contain the all required details about the examination, time and venue.

UPSEE Result

UPSEE result will be released in the third week of May 2016 on the official site of the university. the notification for the declaration date if the result will be notified earlier through the officials or the national newspapers.

UPSEE Counselling

The counselling will be announced in the second or third week of June 2016. The counselling will be done on the basis of the score and the rank scored by the candidates in the UPSEE 2016 entrance examination.
