VITEEE 2016: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Pattern

VITEEE 2016 is the entrance exam conducted by the VIT University, Vellore for admission to its engineering Programmes in its Vellore and Chennai campus. The VITEEE is one of the popular exam among the students who want to take admission in the engineering courses offered by the VIT University. Every year thousands of students appear in the VITEEE examination, which is generally conducted by the university in the month of April every year. Here in this article we will provide you complete details regarding VITEEE 2016, like application form dates, exam pattern and eligibility criteria details.

Application Form

The VITEEE application form 2016 will be announced from 27th November 2015, the candidates who are interested in VITEEE application form can apply online by visiting the official website of the university, also students can also apply through offline mode by purchasing application form along with the information bulletin from various sales counter and post offices across all major cities of the country. The candidates have to visit official website in order to apply online and fill their details like name, address, mail id and other details, the candidates are advised to read all the necessary instruction before filling the application form, after filling all these basic details candidates have to upload their latest photograph and signatures in the specified format, now candidates have to proceed towards the fees payment by using their debit/credit card or net banking. Candidates can make any correction in application form (besides address column) upto 29th February 2016.
The candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs. 940/- (by online mode) or Rs. 990/- (by offline mode). The candidates can also pay their fees by DD payable at Vellore in favour of VIT University. The offline application form filled by the candidates must be send at the below mentioned address.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates, who are appearing for the VITEEE exam this year, should check all the eligibility details. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below in detail.
The candidates should be born on or after 1st July 1994 are eligible to apply.
The candidates must be Indian citizen or the NRI citizen.
The candidates should have passed/ appearing the 12th or its equivalent examination as regular, full-time course from any recognized board or that’s equivalent with the subjects as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology with an aggregate of 60% marks (50% in case of reserved category candidates).
NIOS candidates are also allowed to appear this test.

Exam Pattern

The candidates appearing for the VITEEE exam must check the pattern of the exam, so that the student can be aware about the marking scheme, number of questions, time duration etc.
There will be computer based test (CBT), having 125 questions, 40 questions will be asked from each subject i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology and 5 question will be asked from English subject..
The total time duration will be 2 and a half hour.
Candidates can attempt as many questions as they can, since there will be no negative marking in the paper.

Admit card and Result

The VITEEE admit card 2016 will be declared in the month of April. Candidates can check the result and admit card in our website. Candidates should note that the official date of the VITEEE result 2016 and admit card hasn’t been announced yet, as soon as any official information will be available we will update in our article.
