UPCMET 2016: Application, Eligibility

UPCMET (Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test) is conducted by the UMCWA (Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association) of Uttar Pradesh. There are around 14 medical colleges in association and refer to the rank of UPCMET exam for admission to the MBBS courses on paid seat. The examination is open for all India candidates.

Application Form

The UPCMET 2016 application form will be available via online and offline mode during November 2015. Form online mode candidates can download the application form from the official site of the association and fill that manually. Also the candidates may fill the application form online and get the print out of filled application form. Through the offline mode the candidates can request the application form from the board or from the associated colleges against the application form via post or via personal.

The application fee of UPCMET 2016 will be Rs. 1000/- only for all categories.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates should belong to the any state of India.
• The candidates must have completed the age of 17 years as on or before the 31^st December 2016.
• The candidates should be passed the 12^th or its equivalent examination from any recognized board.
• The candidates should have Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 12^th with English as mandatory subject.
• The candidates should be scored minimum 50% marks in qualifying exam (45% for SC/ST candidates).
• Candidates appearing the last year of qualifying exam are also eligible for this exam.

Important Dates

• Availability of Application Forms – 20th October 2015
• Last Date of submission of filled application forms – 11th May 2016
• Admit Card Available from – 3rd week of May 2016
• Date of Exam – 30th May 2016
• Declaration of Result – 2nd week of June 2016
• Counselling – After 15th of July, 2016

Exam Pattern

The examination will be commenced as pen and paper based exam contains two papers as paper 1 and paper 2. Paper one will comprise in 200 MCQ sectioned in two parts as each part will comprise 100 questions. Part one will contain the questions on physics and chemistry while part two will comprise the questions on botany and zoology. The paper one will be of 2 hour. Paper two will comprise in 50 questions on English and paper two will be of half hour. There will be negative marking in UPCMET exam a 0.25 mark will be deducted for wrong answer. However one mark will be awarded to each correct answer.

Admit Card

The UPCMET admit card 2016 will be available on the official site of the board during the mid of May 2016 from the official site of the association and would be gotten by the candidates by entering the required details.

Result

The UPCMET result 2016 will be announced in the last week of June 2016 on the official site of the board or the official site of the associated colleges. The result will not be marked to the candidates by post or on email.

Counselling

The counselling schedule will be announced later and there are no updates for that now. The counselling will be done through off-centre as online counselling and candidates can fill the options via online only.
