BITSAT 2016: Application Form, Eligibility

BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test) is conducted by the Birla Institutions and Group. The examination is being considered by the four institutions of this group as Pilani Campus, KK Birla Goa Campus, BITS Mesra campus and Hyderabad Campus. The exam is conducted for the admission to various UG and PG courses as B.Tech, M.Sc (Integrated) and B.Pharma. It is a university level exam.

Application Form

The BITSAT 2016 application form will be invited by the online mode only in the last week of December 2015 through the official site of the board. The application will be invited from all Indian candidates. Candidates will have to login with the official portal of examination and register themselves with the details as required. After successful registration, the application form will be appeared on the screen that will be filled by the correct details. the application form will be entered with the application fee details before submitting. The application fee will be Rs. 1900/- for boys and Rs. 1400/- for girls. The application fee will be filled by the mode of debit/credit cad or through the e-challan of ICICI bank. Before submitting the form, candidates should secure the hard copy and soft copy of application form for further reference.

Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates having 12th passed certificate with 75% marks will be eligible to sit in the examination.
• The candidates should have physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology in their 12th class.
• Should have biology for B.Pharma and mathematics for B.Tech with good proficiency in English.
• The candidates passed 12th class in year 2014 will not be allowed to sit in 2016.
• Students who are studying in any campus of the BITS will not be eligible to sit in examination.
• Last performance will be considered if passed the 12th in second attempt.

Exam Pattern

The examination will be commenced in form of computer based test. While filling the application form candidates may choose their own slow as per their convenience. Candidates may choose the date, time and venue of examination. The examination will be of 3 hour duration. The examination will comprise in 150 MCQ in four sections as physics, chemistry, general english and math/biology. There will be negative marking as 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer and 3 marks will be awarded to each right answer.

Admit Card

The university will generate the admit card to all eligible and registered candidates. Candidates may download their BITSAT admit card 2016 through the official portal of examination before the examination date. The admit card will contain the all information about the time, date and venue of examination. All candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination centre.

Result

The BITSAT result 2016 will be announced by the BITS University after the examination on the official site of the university. The result will be announced on first week of June 2016.
