Assam Polytechnic 2016: Application Form, Exam Pattern, Eligibility

The Assam Polytechnic (PAT) is the state level polytechnic entrance exam of Assam state. The exam is conducted the Directorate of technical Education Assam (DTE Assam) for screening candidates for various diploma courses in the field of engineering and technology and also office management courses. Every year thousands of candidates appear for Assam polytechnic exam (PAT) to take admission in government and private polytechnic institutes of Assam. Here in this article we will provide all the details like Assam polytechnic application form, PAT exam pattern, eligibility criteria etc.

Application Form

The candidates who are interested in Assam Polytechnic application 2016, can apply for the exam through the online mode only. The online application form starts from 1st week of March, 2016. The last date of filling of application form will be in the month of April. The candidates have to visit the official site in order to apply, and then students have to enter their details like Name, address, qualification etc, after that candidates will have to upload their photographs and signature in the specified format. Now, the candidates have to pay the application fees of Rs. 400/- through Bank Challan in the nearest SBI bank. After completing all the formalities candidates have to submit the form, and the application no. will be generated, this application number will be used in the further process. Now the candidates have to take the printout of the filled application form and put their left thumb impression in the space provided in the application form, and send it along with the challan form at the below mentioned address.

Eligibility Criteria

Those candidates who are applying for Assam PAT exam, can check the eligibility criteria so as to know that whether or not they are eligible for the exam.
The candidates must have passed high school (class 10th) or equivalent from any recognized board in India.
The Upper age limit for the admission is 20 years as on or before 1^st August 2016 (and 22 years for the admission to the fashion/garment technology and office management). In case of ST/ST category candidates, the upper age limit is relaxable up to 3 years.
The candidates should belong to Assam or having a domicile of Assam.

Important Dates

• Online application will start on  1st week of March  2016

• Date of MOM exam- 3rd week  of May 2016

Exam Pattern

The Assam Pat exam pattern comprises of one question paper having questions from Maths and Science, The paper consist of 100 objective type questions carrying one mark each, the time duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
For office management courses candidates have to undergo one separate exam having 100 objective type question from English and general knowledge. The time duration of the paper will be 3 hours.

Admit Card

The candidates are informed that the Assam PAT admit card 2016 will be announced in the 1st week of May, 2016. The candidates can check their admit card from our website and they can also download it from the official webiste.

Result

The result of the Assam Polytechnic PAT will be announced in the month of June, 2016. The candidate who will qualify in the examination will be called for counselling. The candidates can check their result from this page.
