PTU Exam 2016: Application, Eligibility, Pattern

PTU CET 2016 stands for Punjab Technical University Combined Entrance Test. It is conducted by PTU to select candidates for various courses. It is offered by PTU and its affiliated colleges. It is a compulsory test for candidates prepared to be a part of this university. Punjab Technical University is a state university located in Jalandhar, India. In 1997, PTU came to survival by an act of State government. PTU offering these courses Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel Management, Medical Lab Technologies and IT disciplines.

PTU CET 2016 Application Form

PTU CET 2016 application form will be available via online and offline process through the official website of PTU CET. The candidates have to download the application from the official website also but they can submit the application form offline as well. Fill the form very carefully write your name, age, phone no, personal details, qualification etc. After filling the form rechecked your application form if there is any mistake, correct it and press the button to submit. The candidates will get the application form on a payment of Rs. 550/- from the PTU Counter. The candidates can also apply through the DD of Rs. 600/-.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum educational requirement for appearing the PTU CET 2016 exam is a pass in 10+2 with Math’s, Physics and Chemistry as the main subjects.
For B.Tech:
Candidates who have passed (10+2) or the same with physics and Math as the main subjects and any of Computer Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology and Biology as non-compulsory subject is relevant to degree B. Tech.
For B.Arch:
Candidates who have passed (10+2) or corresponding with not less than 50% marks in mathematics and English as subjects of assessment are qualified to be relevant for B. Arch.
For B.Pharma:
To get admission for B.Pharma, the candidate must have a qualification equivalent to 10+2 with physics and chemistry as required subjects along with any of bio-Technology, Computer Science, or mathematics as the optional subjects or 3 year qualification in pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks would also be eligible for PTU CET examination.

PTU CET 2016 Exam Pattern

The candidates have to get prepared according to the 12th standard course. They must prepare for subjects like Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Physics as per the requirements of the course programs. The medium of answering the question will be English. The sessions consist of objective types questions in core subjects. The last session is to measure their Architectural aptitude which is only for B. Arch course candidates.

Admit card

The Admit card date will be uploaded soon. Candidates have to visit the official website of PTU CET 2016 to know more information or any other details. Take out the print copy of admission card for the future security purpose as a proof. Carry it with you in examination hall and keep it protected till the exam finish. The PTU Exam Admit card 2016 will be contained the information like name, Roll no. of the candidate, timing and the date of the PTU CET exam.

PTU CET 2016 Result

The date of PTU CET result 2016 is June 2016. The given dates are tentative. The final dates will be uploaded soon. It is advised for the candidates that they need to take the print out of the result.

Counselling

The list of skillful candidates will be available in the form of merit list. The students are suggested to fill in as many choices as they can, as this will give a better ability to get selected. Admissions will be made through presentation in their qualifying examinations. The registration for the counselling will be completed online with an application form for the alternative entry of colleges and courses. Candidates are advised to carry the all the important documents.

Admission

The admission will be done on the basis of the rank obtained by the students, their choice and the accessibility of the seats. For the admission of PTU CET 2016, candidates are recommended for mark sheet (10/12/or any other qualification the candidate have), Migration certificate or other documents.
