Haryana DET 2016: Application, Eligibility, Pattern

Haryana DET (Diploma Entrance Test) 2016 will be a state level polytechnic entrance test conducted by the Haryana State Technical Education Society, Government of Haryana. The DET will be a gateway to various (more than 37 courses) polytechnic courses including lateral entry in the field of engineering, pharmacy and hotel management offered by various polytechnic institution across the Haryana state.

Haryana DET Application Form

The application form for DET 2016 will be announced in the month of April 2016 on the official site of the board and candidates have to apply online through registration on the official portal of HSBTE. The application form will be filled and uploaded with the required scanned copies of particulars will be submitted online with evidence of remitting the application fee as Rs. 500/- for general category or Rs. 200/- for all reserved categories. The application fee will be paid through e-challan or online payment.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria is as following:

• The applicant should be passed 10th or its equal examination from recognized board.
• The applicant should be passed compulsory in math and science in qualifying exam.
• The candidates should be scored a minimum of 35% marks (33% in case of SC/ST/Kashmiri Migrant) in qualifying exam.
• To appear the DET (L), candidates should be passed 12th (including 10th + ITI or 10+2 vocational) or its equal examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 35% marks in total.
• For DET (L), students belonging to arts or commerce stream can apply for non-engineering courses like Business  Management, Industrial & Personal Management, Hotel Management, Finance, Accounts & Auditing, Library & Information Science and Office Management & Computer Application.

Exam Pattern

The examination will be asked in both; English and Hindi language. The examination will consist of one paper comprising in 100 multiple choice type questions. The paper would have to be attempt in 100 minutes only and 1 mark will be given to each correct answer. No marks will be given to multiple answered question. There is no provision for negative marking. the syllabus will be dragged from the syllabus of 10th class of Haryana board or CBSE board. The question will be asked on Aptitude and General Awareness test, English, Science and Mathematics.

• Date of DET result – first week of June 2016
• DET Counselling date – fourth week of June 2016

Admit Card

The Haryana DET Admit Card 2016 will be generated through the official site of the board by online only. Candidates can download their admit card via board official site by using their name and application number. The admit care will contain the examination details and personal detail of candidates.

Result

DET 2016 result will be announced on official site and score card can be downloaded from there. The eligible candidates can see or download their result from official site. The result will be released probably in first week of June 2016

Counselling

Successful candidates will fill the online registration form for counselling procedure which will be held in the last week of June 2016. The candidates will pay the fee as rs. 500/- for counselling and fill the choice and lock the choice.
