KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Agriculture and Medical) is a state level
entrance examination for the admission to various colleges and
institutions located in Kerala state for UG programmes. The KEAM is
conducted by the CEE (Commissioner of Entrance Examination) Kerala. The
examination is also known as the CEE Kerala exam. Besides the
examination centres in the Kerala state, it is also conducted on the
various test centres like Delhi, Mumbai, Ranchi, Shillong and Dubai
(UAE). KEAM 2016 will be conducted for the admission to various UG
courses like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, BSMS, B.Sc (Forestry), B.Sc (honors)
agriculture, B.VSc (animal Husbandry), B.FSc and B.Tech (in all regular
branches including agriculture, food engineering and dairy science and
technology).

Keralite
The candidates of Kerala origin will be categorized as a Keralite. The children of All India Services (AIS) will also be categorized as a Keralite but they will not be entitled in any reservation or any fee concession.
Non-Keralite-1
The Non-Keralite-1 candidates will be considered in state merit but will not be granted any reservation and fee concession. Non-Keralite-1 category refer to the candidate who is not Kerala origin as well as his/her parents but undergone the qualifying exam from Kerala and his/her parent(s) posted in Kerala as a defense or central government employee OR parents are serving/served in government of Kerala for a period of 2 years OR the candidate got the study in Kerala for a minimum of 5 consecutive years within the 12 years period of his/her study.
Non-Keralite-2
Non-Keralite-2 category refer to the all other candidates who do not come under Keralite and Non-Keralite-1 categories.
For medical courses biotechnology will not be considered as a subject except MBBS/BDS course
Computer science or biotechnology can be considered in place of chemistry in case of engineering admission.
For architecture, candidates must have secured 50% in 12th with math as a subject.
The candidates must have secured 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/SEBC and 45% for locomotion disable candidate) in KEAM 2016 paper 1&2 taken together for MBBS/BDS course.

Eligibility for KEAM 2016
The aspirants should focus on the eligibility criteria before applying to the KEAM 2016 for any prospect course. The eligibility criteria is as the following:Nativity
The candidate must be the Indian origin only. OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) and PIO (Person of Indian Origin) candidates shall also be treated as the India candidates but not given any reservation.Categories
All candidates applying for the KEAM 2016 will be listed in three categories as Keralites, Non-Keralite-1 and Non-Keralite-2.Keralite

Age
The candidates should have completed the age of 17 years as on or before 31st December of the year of examination. There is no upper age limit for KEAM examination.Academic Education
The candidates must have passed 12th from the recognized board and secured 50% marks in core as math (for engineering and architecture) or biology/biotechnology (for medical and allied courses) and 50% in aggregate of physics, chemistry and core subject put together.For medical courses biotechnology will not be considered as a subject except MBBS/BDS course
Computer science or biotechnology can be considered in place of chemistry in case of engineering admission.

KEAM 2016 Application
The KEAM 2016 application form will be available on the prescribed date via online on official site of the board. The candidates can get the prospectus from the listed post offices. The candidates must have to register themselves with the official site and proceed to the application. The application fee is Rs 1000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC/ST) for all candidates. The application fee can be remit through the security card that can be got from the post office with prospectus or by DD (Demand Draft). The ST candidates whose family annual income is below 40,000/annum are exempted to payment the application fee.
