IISER Entrance Exam 2016: Application Form, Pattern

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER) or IISER exam2016 is an entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research for admission to Integrated BS – MS dual degree programme offered by the of science and research in the 6 IISER institutes located in India. The exam is held every year in the month of July and the application for the IISER entrance exam are available from June to July. Application Form

The IISER application form 2016 will be available only through the online mode and can be filled from the official website of IISER from 1^st week of June. The candidates have to fill the form by entering their basic details and upload recent photograph and signatures in the format specified. The last step is to pay the application fees. The application fees for the IISER application form is Rs. 1500/- (and Rs.750 for the students belonging to SC/ST category.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates appearing for IISER exam should be aware of the eligibility criteria, the eligibility criteria of IISER exam is mentioned below:
The candidates will be admitted to the dual BS –MS degree programme for the total of 950 seats offered by all IISER is based on the following:
Rank scored by the candidate in Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY).

JEE Advance Score

The candidate should also score a minimum of 60 % in class 12^th or senior secondary education.
Through State and Central boards
The candidates will also have to qualify IISER entrance exam.

• Online application form Starts (State and Central Boards through (CSB) IISER Entrance Test): 1^st week of June to 1^st week of July, 2016

Exam Pattern

The candidates must understand the IISER entrance exam pattern, so as to perform well in the exam. The details of the examination pattern are mentioned below:
The exam will have MCQ type question from Physics, Chemistry, Math’s and Biology. Candidates have to choose one correct answer from the given four alternatives.

Time Duration: 180 min.

Result and Allotment of Seats

The result of IISER 2016 will be declared, one week after the examination. Candidates can check their result in the official portal by entering their roll no. or registration id. The allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit and rank scored by the candidates.
