Indian Statistical Institute entrance exam (ISI) 2016 will be conducted
by Indian Statistical Institute. It is the premier institute of
statistical research in India which was established in 1931 and has its
headquarters in Kolkata. ISI is the institute for research, teaching and
application of social sciences, and statistics. ISI has four campuses
located in Chennai, Delhi, Tezpur, and Banglore. Bangalore, Kolkata,
Hyderabad and Delhi are the campuses for teaching activities of ISI. M

ISI application form
The ISI application form 2016 will be announced in the month of February, the candidates who are interested in ISI entrance exam application form can apply online by visiting the official website of the university. - Register for ISI 2016 by creating a login.
- Fill all the necessary fields like name, age date of birth, course, and address of centre upload scanned copy of signature, photograph.
- After registration candidates will receive a SMS on their registered mobile no with the registration number and transaction ID.
- Then they need to pay fee RS 600.00/- for all applicants in the general category and all applicants for the JRF program (irrespective of reservation category), 00 for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged candidates for all programmes excluding JRF programmes.
- The application fee will be paid in State Bank of India in cash after taking a print out of Challan form.
- Candidates are advised to keep a copy of application form and Challan after fee payment.
Eligibility Criteria
There are many diploma, bachelor and master programmes offered by ISI and candidates who are willing to take admission in these courses must check all eligibility criteria for related course, here are some details regarding eligibility criteria:- BACHELOR OF STATISTICS (HONOURS) (B.Stat), BACHELOR OF MATHEMATICS (HONOURS) & BACHELOR OF MATHEMATICS (HONOURS): Applicant should have successfully completed 10+2 years of Higher Secondary Education (or its equivalent) with Mathematics and English as subjects of study.
- MASTER OF STATISTICS, MASTER OF MATHEMATICS: Applicant should have a three-year Bachelor’s degree or a BE/B.Tech degree with Statistics as a full subject, or a B Math degree.
- From ISI, or a Post-Graduate Diploma in Statistical Methods with Applications/Statistical Methods and Analytics from ISI.

Exam Pattern
- Stat and B.Maths: Objective Type Questions and subjective type questions, the Questions will be on Mathematics Subject and would not be asked from other subjects.
- Tech (Computer Science): Group A will have multiple choices, descriptive questions. Group B will have questions from post graduate and B.tech level, divided into 5 sections carrying equals marks.
- maths: Multiple choice and short answer type questions in Mathematics at a level corresponding to the Mathematics Honors/Major of Indian universities, with special accent on, Linear, Real Analysis and Abstract Algebra.
- stat: multiple choice or short answer questions in Mathematics at the undergraduate level in the first part, and multiple-choice and short answer type questions in Statistics and Mathematics at the undergraduate level in the second part, designed to evaluate competence in the theory and methods of Statistics and comprehension in Mathematics.
