CENTAC 2016: Application Form, Eligibility, Pattern

The CENTAC is conducted by Centralised Admission Committe (CENTAC) of Pondicherry University for admission to university and associated colleges. The admission procedure for admissions to undergraduate Engineering courses at the Government colleges engineering college is commonly called as CENTAC. The candidates will be selected for admission in Pondicherry Engineering College campus on the basis of their marks in Class XII from Tamil Nadu board or an equivalent exam. Aspirants from other States can apply for 15% of the total seats on the basis of their JEE Main 2015 scores.

CENTAC Application form

The application procedure for admission will be online by official website of CENTAC. The CENTAC application form 2016 for admission along with information Bulletin 2016 can be downloaded from CENTAC website. While filling the application form the applicants must provide their mobile number. Online application fee for a course is Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in case of SC/ST Candidates).The fee should be paid online after filling of form along with necessary certificates, photograph and other documents. Applications which are incomplete, defective will summarily be rejected so candidates are advised to read the information Bulletin carefully on CENTAC website.

Eligibility criteria

For admission to any course, the candidate should fulfill the necessary admission requirements for the respective degree courses, as prescribed by the Pondicherry University. Every course has its different requirements general requirement for courses are as follows:

• Applicants must have passed (or appearing) the higher secondary examination conducted by the board of HSE Tamil Nadu or the equivalent.
• securing a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 (40% in case of OBC/BCM/MBC/EBC/BT/SC/ST category)

Counseling

Online counseling will be held tentatively in the July month. Applicants will be informed through SMS/E-mail for counseling schedule and procedure.
