UPESEAT 2016: Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility Criteria

UPESEAT 2016, commonly known as University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Engineering aptitude Test  is the entrance exam conducted by University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun. The UPESEAT exam is conducted every year by UPES for admission to their Undergrate and Integrated PG engineering programmes. The UPESEAT exam is given by thousands of students to get admission in top engineering courses offered by the university. Application Form

The candidates looking for UPESEAT application form 2016, are informed that the application form will be announced in the month of December 2015, the candidates can purchase the application form either offline, or they can also apply through online mode by visiting official website of UPES, Dehradun.The UPESEAT exam is conducted by the UPES for admission to various engineering courses including some of the specialized courses in Petroleum, oil and gas engineering.
In 2015, more than 30,000 students had appeared in UPESEAT examination for admission in 1600 seats offered by the university. The UPESEAT exam will be organized in all major cities of the country and the application process will start from December onwards.

Application procedure

The candidates who are interested in UPESEAT 2016 can apply for the application in two ways:

1.  Online
2. Offline

The candidates interested in online application, they can apply from the UPES official website. The candidates have to fill all their details in the application form and then proceed towards fees payment. The fees can be paid either by using credit/debit card or net banking.
The candidate who wish to apply offline, they have to purchase the application form from the various designated centres from Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates appearing for UPESEAT exam must check the eligibility criteria as mentioned below:
The candidates must be born on or after October 01, 1994 in order to appear for UPESEAT exam.

• The candidates must have passed/appearing in 10+2 with minimum 60% marks from a recognized board in order to appear for the exam.
• The Candidates must have scored an aggregate of at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Eligibility for admission through board merit/JEE (20% seats)

1. Admission by Board Merit

• Candidates should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with 80% marks.
• Candidates must have scored an aggregate of at least 80% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

2. Admission by JEE 2015

• The candidates should have passed in 10+2 with 60% marks from a recognized board.
• Candidates should have scored an aggregate of at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
• Candidates rank in JEE Main 2016, will be taken into consideration.

• UPESEAT Admit Card Download: 10th May, 2016
• UPESEAT Exam 2016: 15th May, 2016
• UPESEAT Result: 2nd week of June 2016
• UPESEAT Counselling 2016:  3^rd to 4^th week of June, 2016

 Exam Pattern

The candidates appearing for the exam must check the exam pattern of the UPESEAT exam, the examination pattern is important for the students so that they can get the basic details about the exam. The exam pattern is mentioned below in detail.

The candidate must note that there will be 200 multiple choice questions, the time duration of the exam will be 3 hours.

 Admit Card

The UPESEAT admit card 2016 will be available to the candidates from the first week of May, 2015. Candidates can download the admit card from the UPES webiste, or students can also check admit card from our webiste.

Result/Scorecard

The UPESEAT result 2016 and score card of the candidates will be declared by the university in the 2nd week of June 2016. Candidates can check their result and then appear for counselling as per their rank.
